Ponderosa Garage Doors is licensed, bonded, and insured in both Washington Oregon states.

Homeowners don’t expect a lot from their garage doors – just open and close on demand. However, there are a lot of moving parts involved: tracks, rollers, springs, panels, and so on. With an automatic opener, there are even more things that could go wrong.

Working in Clark County and the greater Portland metro area for over two decades, Ponderosa Garage Doors has worked with very old garage doors, the newest of garage doors, and everything in between. Whether it’s an installation of a new door, repairing doors, or inspecting and installing garage door openers, our clients can expect a professional experience.

That’s why every single one of our installations comes with a focus on quality workmanship.  Upgrades to the “Ponderosa Promise” are available as well.  With this upgrade, every installation comes with a lifetime warranty on both materials and workmanship. We trust our experienced crews and if something does go wrong, we’ll make it right free of charge. It’s just one more way we offer a little bit more for our clients.

SERVICES OFFERED

Installations

No matter if it’s a traditional raised panel, classy carriage doors, or sleek modern, Ponderosa Garage Doors has installed them all. We help our customers choose the right door for their home, both in a style that matches the architecture as well as materials and how you use the garage.

This means if you have large bays, you may want an area for a workshop. Many doors now come with insulation to keep the garage warm on cold winter days and nights. This means you can work in comfort as well as save a few bucks on energy costs.

Repair

Is the garage door squeaking, rattling, or growling? Does it seem to be laboring when opening or closing? Or does it open halfway before closing again? These are a few of the more common problems we see with garage doors and openers. Many issues are a quick fix, but others need an experienced hand.

A broken torsion spring, for example, can be a dangerous situation. These springs are under a tremendous amount of pressure – that’s why it’s so easy to lift a door that could weigh more than 400 pounds! If installed incorrectly, or one or more of the torsion springs should break, the door could come crashing down at any moment.

Replacements

In some cases, the garage door is in fine shape, but no longer matches the rest of the home after a remodel. Ponderosa Garage Doors will remove the old door, take it away, and install a door that is a better match for the new look of your home.

A new door can pay immediate dividends, especially when it comes to curb appeal. For many homes, a garage door makes up to 50 percent of the street-facing side of the home. A new door style and color can really change the look of the entire home.

Openers

There was once a time when homeowners had to get out of the car to open or close their garage doors. It was a hassle – especially during the stormy winter months in the Pacific Northwest. Garage door openers changed all of that and now come standard on most new homes.

If you bought an older home without an opener, Ponderosa Garage Doors works with all the major brands, including newer “smart” openers that can be operated from your phone. Having an issue with your opener? Give us a call and we’ll come inspect the problem and offer solutions for a fix.
